My Story

I have been fascinated with employee engagement through the use of workplace learning strategies since I did my Master of Arts in Instructional Design and Technology with NTU (Nanyang Technological University) between 2009 and 2011.
Armed with certification in ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) in delivering WSQ and HR-related training to corporate learners, I believe that learning can distinctively make a significant impact if it is designed and provided at the workplace - especially through leveraging authentic issues and real problems in its implementation. Very often, my trainees share that it is not the lack of training opportunity alone but the existence of organisational, structural and cultural challenges that hinder the effective and successful application of learning in the classroom back to the workplace.
I urge organisations to come forward to take the first step in considering workplace learning. Through the implementation of workplace learning strategies, organisations will be able to witness how the three Change Levers (L&D, HRM and Job Re-design/Work Processes) can make a positive impact on business performance.
